Comet Toons #1: Introducing Eraserhead
November 28, 2022
Aloha, my name is Jean Argueta and this is my first comic. If you don’t know who I am, you might know me as “Eraserhead.” When The Granby Spectator called for cartoonists, I was the one who answered the call, and here I am, continuing the tradition of “Comet Toons.”
This comic, called “A normal Granby day,” is based on the bomb threat that happened in October and all the chaos that happened on that day. All characters in this comic do not represent real people; these are all characters I made myself. The characters in the back represent the people who fought during the bomb threat and the teachers and guards holding them back. The characters in the front represent the students either wishing for the school to not blow up, or to blow up, being scared, or worrying about the things they left inside the school.
I hope some of you find this interesting and I will keep drawing comics for the school newspaper. That’s all I have to say, so have a joyful day!
